WINNER of this years Axient Milkminder manager of the year competition, announced at the show, is Somerset producer Derek Mead.
Mr Mead, Ebdon Farm, Wick St Lawrence, Weston Super Mare is top of Milkminder dairy costings 3500 customers, based on improving efficiency in the year to March.
Runners-up were John and Bobbie Clay, Ellesmere, Shropshire; John and Jackie Davis, Leigh on Mendip, Avon; Michael Masters, Glastonbury, Somerset and Martin Kendall, Shaftesbury, Dorset. *
