A RANGE of basic specification monitors designed for farmers with lower price budgets has been introduced by electronics specialist RDS.

The SAM 100 uses wheel or prop-shaft sensors to monitor spreading, spraying and drilling operations, while the higher specification SAM 200 is designed fro measuring tractor forward speeds, area or distance covered.

For those seeking a simple weighing monitor, RDS has launched the Weighlog 100 which records the weight of fertiliser or seed bags during lifting with a front loader or telehandler. After the reading is taken, the device calculates and displays the next weight which is added to the memory.

Completing the new range is the ICP 200 printer – a device which allows items such as time date and details of work performed to be printed out in the cab.

The ICP 200 printer is compatible with the companys Pro-Series and Wizard range of instruments. Prices for the SAM 100 and 200 are £225 and £275 respectively, while the ICP 200 printer starts at £750.

Latest range of RDS monitors are targeted at farmers with lower price budgets, says the company.
