Mounted grass toppers

GRASS toppers available from Kuhn Farm Machinery now include tractor mounted models offering working widths of 1.2m and 1.8m (4ft and 6ft) – the company already has a 1.5m (5ft) version on its books.

Designated the BAV range, the toppers each employ a single rotor having twin blades bevelled on the underside to help provide a self-sharpening effect. Cutting height is adjustable from 2.5cm to 15cm (1in to 6in).

Tractor power requirements are in the 30hp to 90hp range, says Kuhn which offers the units with or without rear wheels and internal deflectors. Prices start at £930 for the 1.2m model and extend to £1835 for the 1.8m.
