New drill combo lifts outputs of low hp tractors

LELY has introduced a hydraulically folding 4m Roterra pneumatic drill combination. It has, says the company, been developed to utilise lower horsepower tractors to achieve high daily work outputs yet reduce soil compaction.
The folding Roterra comprises two 2m sections mounted on a centre fold frame. Power requirement is in the 80-150hp bracket and the weight of the unit is 1850-1985kg, depending on which depth control roller or packer is fitted.
For the drill, Lely employs its pneumatic 4m folding Polymat unit used in conjunction with an 850 litre front mounted seed hopper and electronic metering system. Seed is blown back to the drills central distribution head.
Drill options include a choice of Suffolk or serrated disc coulters, twin pre-emergence markers and hydraulic coulter pressure adjustment. For the front mounted Polyliner hopper a tyre packer roller system can be specified.
For transport, the whole implement folds to a width slightly less than 3m.
A hydraulically folding 4m powerharrow/drill combination, complete with front seed hopper, is now available from Lely.
