New hopper fitted on shredders

Kvernelands Taarup KD834 and KD836 bale shredders can now be fitted with a concentrate hopper with a capacity of 350 or 500 litres to allow bedding and feeding operations to be performed at the same time. The hopper, attached to the right hand side of the shredder can be bulk filled through a high-level full-length lid or by hand via a low-level hopper. Two hydraulically powered augers mix material as it is loaded. The augers are also used to empty the feed with the operator choosing to discharge it through a small chute or through the spreaders flywheel and main chute. This latter option allows the concentrate to be mixed and discharged with any forage being fed. Price is £1650 for the 350-litre version.
