New name in land training unveiled

LANTRA is the new name for a consortium of industry bodies and training organisations, including ATB Landbase.

Based at the National Agricul-tural Centre, Stoneleigh, with other offices in Scotland and Wales, the new body will employ 90 people. Andy Stewart and Nigel Snook will be chairman and chief executive, respectively, the same positions they hold at ATB-Landbase.

The creation of Lantra is the end of an 18-month period of reorganisation in the land base and related industries sector.
