New tool from software mates

IN-FIELD crop recording and map management has come together with the launch of a new Pocket PC-based application for handheld devices.

Farm Works has combined Trac Mate and Site Mate into one GPS-enabled handheld crop information and data-logging application.

“It‘s automated field recording as far as you can get,” claimed the company‘s Ian Harley.

The new application is seen as a direct competitor to Patchwork Technology‘s Blackbox, which runs on Palm-based handheld devices.

Ideal for contractors, field records can be consulted in the tractor cab and inputs logged precisely, aiding traceability and record-keeping, said Mr Harley.
