NFU wants climate tax exemption
THE National Farmers Union is backing a campaign across industry against the proposed climate change levy or energy tax.
Government ministers are currently considering changes in the planned tax and have already granted concessions to heavy users in some industries.
These include a 50% rebate for companies introducing energy efficiency schemes and exemptions of combined heat and power and renewable energy schemes.
