Northern Foods in control of Fletchers

NORTHERN Foods has taken control of Fletchers Bakeries in a deal worth about £54 million.

Northern bought 24.9% of Fletchers in 1992 for £8.5m. It has now paid £40.6m for the balance of the shares.
