Northern Ireland beef ban lifted

THE European Commission lifted its ban on exports of Northern Ireland beef last night.


Mo Mowlam, Northern Ireland secretary, said she was “delighted” by the move.


The ban was announced last month when it emerged that ineligible beef was being shipped out of the province.
