OFT supermarket verdict this week

THE Office of Fair Trading is expected to announce the result of its eight-month investigation into the trading practices of Britains supermarket chains.

The report from the investigation, which has centred on allegations of profiteering, is expected to be published this week.

Analysts say the market is expecting a further referral to the Monopolies Commission.
