Organic fruit grant
HRI-EAST Malling has been granted £124,000 by the European Regional Development Fund to investigate commercial organic fruit production techniques in a joint project with its French counterpart in the Nord-Pas de Calais.
"We want to put UK grown organic fruit into supermarkets when currently around 90% of the organic fruit sold in the supermarkets is imported," says HRI project manager David Parry. *
