Parmalat, wins control of Ault

Parmalat, the Italian dairy products group won control of Canadian food
processor Ault Foods. It said it had secured 71.3%. Parmalat offered C$34 a
share in its C$415m (US$301m) agreed bid for the Canadian company last month. This was an attempt to thwart a C$28 a share hostile bid from the Saputo group, based in Montreal.
