Pearl shows promise in Shropshire

COMBINES have cut almost 10% of the winter barley area in Shropshire, according to David Roberts of G O Davis grain merchants.

“Pearl has shown some bold samples.” Early nitrogen tests are between 1.51-1.69%.

But he stresses that it is still too early to be sure. He thinks that the area is not more than a week behind the normal schedule.
