Petrol up 4.4p/litre

UNLEADED petrol will rise by 4.4p/litre, Chancellor Gordon Brown said this afternoon. Leaded fuel will go up by 4.9p/litre and diesel will increase by 5.5p/litre.

The rate of excise duty for all types of vehicles is held at the current level.
