PICTURES: Flooding hits farmland in Northern Ireland

The floods that hit Northern Ireland after torrential rain over the weekend also hit farmland.
There have been dramatic pictures in the national media of an underpass in Belfast, which at one point was submerged under 20ft of flood water.
But Farmers Weekly reader Mark McCollum sent us these pictures which include a 14 acre field of spring barley outside Coleraine, N Ireland which was flooded on 16 August.
The day before the picture was taken Mark was cutting wheat for crimping at 30%.
These next pictures were taken of a neighbouring farmer’s sceond cut silage and show the water still high two days after the initial flooding.
