Pig farmers to march on No. 10
PIG farmers will take their case directly to the Prime Minister tomorrow (Saturday) with a demonstration involving 2000 protestors at Downing Street.
The demonstrators will urge Tony Blair to halt purchases of cut-price foreign pigmeat, which does not carry the extra cost burden of this countrys tough animal welfare and hygiene controls.
The demonstration is being organised by the British Pig Industry Support Group with help from the National Farmers Union of England and Wales.
