Plantation & General to raise £10m
PLANTATION and General Investments, the African investment group, is raising £10 million to help with its attempts to focus on tropical agriculture.
The £10m has been raised by a share issue conditionally placed with Nick Roditti, the former Soros fund manager who controls the company. The shares can be clawed back by shareholders.
Half-year profits rose 82% to £1.6m, on turnover of £26.4m, down from £28.8m last time.
The money will also be used for acquisitions.
