Poland seeks farming waiver on EU entry
POLAND will seek a waiver on the immediate implementation of European
Union (EU) veterinary and sanitary standards for farmers as part of its terms
for EU membership.
Polish representatives are due to meet Brussels officials this month to agree
membership terms.
Poland is seeking waivers from what is knows as the “acquis communitaire” –
the regulatory framework which applies to ensure unhampered flows of capital,
labour and services within the EU.
