Predators and parasites better than the chemical cosh
Recent advances in predator selection to control pests means that
these can now function in the Scottish climate in a way that was
previously not considered possible, reports The Herald in its
section for students.
The newspaper suggests that bio-control has already proven to be
efficient in a diverse range of crop situations. Control of pests by
predators is also likely to prove more economical in the long term.
