Prince caught in ‘political’ row

PRINCE CHARLES decision to take his two sons fox-hunting over the weekend has embroiled the heir to the throne in a political row, according to a report in The Guardian.

The newspaper reports that Tony Blair, the Prime Minister, was “so infuriated” that he met Charles yesterday at Downing Street to discuss the issue.

The accusations of politicisation of the Prince were re-ignited yesterday with reports that he was to take on a high-profile international role promoting British beef.

But both Downing Street and the Prince have denied the story.

Charles is considered to have made a number of controversial moves into the political limelight in recent months.

He is said to have shunned the Chinese prime ministers state banquet because of concerns about human rights and has outspoken views on genetically modified crops.
