Prince of Wales welcomes Londons first farm market
The Prince of Wales has called on farmers to restore consumer
confidence in food by returning to the tradition of selling produce to
the public at markets.
The Prince welcomed the opening of Londons first new-wave farm
market at Camden Passage, Islington in London. He said it would
“reconnect people to the land”.
Nick Brown, agriculture minister, opened the London market. It
attracted 30 producers, selling organic and non-organic fruit,
vegetables, meat, honey, fruit juices and pot plants.
