Protestor throws pie at biotech boss

DENNIS AVERY, the biotechnology and agriculture director of the Centre for Global Food Issues, was hit by a pie while giving a speech at the Hudson Institute in Iowa, USA.

The pie-thrower said he did it because of Averys “shameless and flagrant support of biotechnology and industrial factory farming”.
