Pulled mower debut
Pulled mower debut
A NEW centre pivot mower has been added to the Bernard Krone range of mowers. The AMT 3200CV has a cutting width of 3.2m and has the ability to be operated from both sides of the tractor to allow fields to be worked in lands – Krone says this system increases output by up to 15%.
The conditioner unit and bed are the same units used by the companys Big M self-propelled mower – the chassis frame mounting is such that the mower is pulled rather than pushed to enable better following of ground contours.
Drive to the mower encompasses two swivel gearboxes – one at either end of the drawbar which allows tight headland turns without threatening the pto drive. From the second swivel gearbox, a drive shaft feeds to the middle of the eight-disc cutting bed.
For conditioning, the new mower is equipped with a rotor having V-shaped free swinging steel tines. Rotor speed can be changed from 700rpm to 1000rpm and swath doors can be adjusted to leave swaths from 1.2m to 2.4m wide. Transport width is 3m.
Price of the Krone AMT 3200CV is £14,630.
