THE pesticide lindane continues to be used in Britain because experts cannot make up their minds whether or not it is dangerous, reports The Guardian..
Lindane is banned in many countries because of concerns that it may cause birth defects and cancers.
But environmental groups claim that as much as 76 tonnes of may be used unnecessarily on UK crops alone over the next year.
