Rain brings relief to US soya-bean market.
RAIN has finally fallen across the mid-west of the US, bringing relief to the soya-bean market.
There were fears that lack of rain would hit the crop. Southern Illinois, Iowa and Missouri were particularly vulnerable.
Prices have been volatile, but eased last week as weather forecasts improved.
European production is estimated to have jumped 15% in the first half of
1997.
