Rape climbs on cold weather demand

OILSEED rape prices have climbed on increased demand due to recent cold weather.


Prices across much of England are now well above £170/ t, according to the latest figures from the Home Grown Cereals Authority.


At mid-day today, East Anglian ex-farm rape was up £1.30 at £171.30/ t. In the south-east, the average price was £173/ t.


Scottish rape remains better buy, at an ex-farm price of £166/ t.
