SALES of oilseed rape have slackened off over the past few days. But prices remain firm across the country. The majority of this seasons crop has now been sold, say traders.

Trade this morning (Wednesday) was very quiet indeed across all regions. However, a small quantity of East Anglian ex-farm rape changed hands for about £177/ tonne. In the Midlands, a shortfall of rape helped push up prices to £178/ tonne.

Prices in other parts of the country remain similar to last week at about £177/ tonne.
