Renault claims best after-sales insurance deal
RENAULT believes it now has one of the most comprehensive after-sales mechanical breakdown insurance packages available.
Future Care, administered by CBC UK, claims to offer much more than an extended warranty. It has been designed to cover almost all components, with only bodywork damage, tyres and consumables not being encompassed.
The scheme covers labour costs, parts carriage and up to £250 in haulage costs if the tractor has to be returned to the dealer. Renault also says it will contribute £50 a day towards the cost of a hire tractor and £150 for its delivery.
Future Care, from Renault dealers, is applicable for all new Renault tractors with the period covered being up to three years after the expiry of the first years warranty. The scheme can be bought up to six months after the purchase of a tractor, signing up within three months gets a 5% discount.
The cost? Monthly or hourly blocks of cover to a limit of 36 months or 6000 hours can be bought with prices varying according to tractor size.
Cover for a 75hp Ceres 330 knocking up 750 hours a year, for example, would cost £320 for a 12-month period or £740 for 36 months. Both periods start after the expiry of the warranty year.
