Rogation day a national prayer farming event

May 20 has been named as Rogation Sunday, a national day of prayer for the farming community.

The day will see churches of all denominations in towns and villages holding services remembering those in trouble in rural areas. People, too, will be urged to wear a green ribbon to show solidarity with those suffering in the countryside.
