SAC chief Linklater profiled
PROFESSOR Karl Linklater, the new man at the top of the Scottish Agricultural College (SAC), is given a close inspection by The Herald.
Linklater is a former president of the British Veterinary Association who started off in rural practice in Tarland.
He says he intends to make staff involvement a key priority for his time in office.
He also sees collaboration with competitors, such as the Institute for Animal Health, as one of the ways forward.
His “vision” is to be able to lead the SAC “successfully through the next few years of a new century … fully focused on the opportunities ahead.”
