Scientists map E-coli genes

US scientists have mapped out all the genes in the deadly E-coli bug which is a common source of food poisoning, reports the Financial Times.

A team at University of Wisconsin in Madison has sequenced the 5000 genes of Escherichia coli 0157:H7.
