THE Scottish NFU is to fill a vacancy in the British Agricultural Bureau in Brussels. The appointment will be for three years after which the European policy adviser will return to a senior post within the union.

Five other posts are being advertised. One is for an adviser to develop contacts and co-ordinate lobbying within the new Scottish Parliament. The union is also seeking three regional policy advisers and an agricultural policy manager to oversee regional activity following union restructuring. A graduate trainee programme is another initiative being started this year.

Farmers Weekly Awards Show

Join us for a week-long extravaganza to celebrate the farming heroes and achievements of 2020 and announce the winners of the Farmers Weekly Awards. Countryfile presenter Adam Henson will host five nights of entertainment in 20-minute programmes filmed all over the country. He'll be joined by a host of farming celebrities and feature a special appearance by HRH Prince Charles.
