Scots grower in moonlight harvest

A SCOTTISH farmer is harvesting strawberries by moonlight to compensate for a lack of sunshine, reports The Independent.

This follows the example of Spanish farmers who pick at night when the fruit is ripest.

Sunshine rates have been down by 15% for the time of year in some areas of Britain.
