Scots want free cattle passports
SCOTTISH farmers leaders remain resolutely opposed to government plans to make livestock farmers fund the British Cattle Movement Service (BCMS).
But they are not advocating a boycott of the system, which is scheduled to go live in a few weeks at a cost of £7 for every passport, reports The Herald.
They are hoping to resolve the issue through a meeting with Scottish rural affairs minister Ross Finnie.
