Scottish Landowners appoint Don
THE new vice-convenor of the Scottish Landownerss Federation has been named as John Don, a mixed farmer who farms 505.8ha (1,250 acres) of livestock and arable land.
Mr Don, who farms at Insch in Aberdeenshire and Buckie in Banffshire, is a former president of the Scottish Agricultural Organisation Society.
He has also served as president of the Aberdeen and Kincardine area of the Scottish National Farmers Union and as a director of the Scotch Quality Beef and Lamb Association.
