DAIRY producers can now select semen from three American sires over £100 ITEM, according to Dairy Daughters.

The three bulls, all from World Wide Sires, include Alvin, Talon and Gumby. Wil-Tel Alvin, an Aerostar x Winken is £100 ITEM and £95 PIN with 70% reliability, and over 2 UK type merit, says Dairy Daughters.

Leadman son Talon (daughter pictured) is £121 PIN and £117 ITEM, with a UK type merit of 0.77. Kerndtway Gumby is £105 PIN and £106 ITEM with a UK type merit of 1.49, and is a Mascot x Secret.

Alvin costs £22 a straw, Talon is £19.50 and Gumby £19 (01756-748466, fax 01756-749511).
