Semi-trailed for new mower range

NIEMEYER has taken the semi-trailed mower route for its new range of mower/conditioners.

The aptly named Semitra is attached to the tractors three-point linkage yet has a land wheel to take some of the weight.

The result, says the company, is a mower which can offer the high capacity of a trailed machine – fast working speeds are possible through use of a trailing parallel linkage which suspends the cutting deck from a beam chassis – yet one which is easy to work and manoeuvre in the field.

Available in disc and drum versions with cutting widths from 3.05m to 3.65m, the conditioning unit employs nylon "Y" shaped flails and an adjustable conditioning plate.

Price of the 3.05m disc version is £12,750 and of the 3.65m drum mower, £15,450.
