Siberia yields 7.5t/ha

IN Berkshire, John Holland has cut 364ha (900 acres) of 4250ha (10 500 acres). Feed winter barley variety Siberia has yielded well at 7.5t/ ha.

He hopes to be starting oilseed rape in the middle of the week.

With six combines working, harvest is progressing well. The moisture content is averaging at 14%, with a maximum of 17%. He is pleased with the yields so far.

“A couple of fields have yielded over 8t/ha.” However, the quality has been varied, with specific weights in the low 60s.
