WANT to earn an extra 1p/litre? That is the amount many dairy herds are losing through lameness, the topic of the first National Cattle Lameness Conference.
The conference, sponsored by farmers weekly and the Milk Development Council, will be held at Stoneleigh, Warks, on Mar 16. With top quality speakers covering topics from the cost of lameness through to controlling it, the conference aims to highlight practical ways of reducing the concern on-farm. Attendance costs £59 plus VAT, which includes conference papers, tea, coffee and lunch.
All MDC levy payers should receive an invitation to the conference in latest MDC newsletters. An application form will also be included in FWs Focus on Cattle supplement on Feb 12. *
