Speedier, automated bagging system with new Pouch Prepacker machine

PORTSDOWN Engineering has unveiled an automated Pouch Prepacker machine, which it says offers a speedier bagging operation.

It works by placing a reel of partially opened polythene pouches at the rear of the machine and feeding them through rollers to the front where the reel is stopped automatically.

From here, the pouch is opened, the produce inserted and a new seal is made. A new pouch is then presented for filling.

Designed to fill over 700 produce bags/hour, the Pouch Prepacker requires a single-phase power supply to operate.
