Strong trade for HFs
AVERAGING almost 10,000kg for 96 cows and with a margin over concentrates of £2010, the Barker familys Bardra herd met a strong trade last weekend.
The February calved Holstein Fresian heifer Bardra Cubby Kizzy, out of MOET Levi Kizzy, made the top price of 2700gns at Berwick, Shrewsbury.
In 108 days she had given 3605kg and had been AId to Meadowbridge Megabuck and Barnkamper Quality. Buyer was Anson Farms, Stafford.
The 1993-bred Joylan Rothrock daughter, Bardra Roth Molly 3rd, bred out of a Quality Toper Duke dam, attracted a 2550gns call from Kent bidder J Warnick.
