Stubble cultivator for drill

By Andy Collings

LEMKEN Tri-Ags Solitair pneumatic drill now has a new partner – the company has developed a 6m tine and disc stubble cultivator.

The Terradisc unit provides a new choice of cultivator for use with the drill, which can already be used in combination with Lemkens Zirkon power harrow or Terratilth tined seed-bed cultivator.

It is an arrangement designed to allow growers to adapt their drilling regime to suit different soil conditions – no drill modifications need to be made when swapping from one cultivator type to another.

"The Solitair drill can now be used for both traditional drilling and minimum tillage methods," explains managing director, Mervyn Hutton. "We are also looking at other methods to help users exploit this drilling flexibility and aim to develop other non-powered Lemken cultivators to carry the drill." &#42
