Suffolk estate due on market soon?

THE 3730-acre Henham Estate, Southwold, Suffolk, may be on the market soon. The Earl of Stradbrook, who emigrated to Australia 44 years ago, has taken the unusual step of publicly advertising for an agent to market the property.

Strutt & Parkers Mark McAndrew says the firm will be putting in a proposal and expects most agents to do the same. He puts a rough value on the estate of £10-15m.

Sean ONeill, the estate manager, says over 30 inquiries have been received.
