Sugar carry-over

Sugar carry-over
BRITISH Sugar is to carry forward an extra 30,000t of C sugar to next years production, adding to the 73,000t already held in stock.
"Given the potential of this years crop, it makes sense to increase the level of carry-forward sugar," says agriculture director, Chris Carter. The move is expected to add about £2/t to the value of all C beet, taking the average total price to about £15 an adjusted tonne.
