Threat to French firms
ONE in every 12 French agricultural machinery companies is at risk of failure, according to financial analysts Plimsoll Publishing.
Conducting research on 500 French manufacturers and dealers, Plimsoll found most financially troubled firms will struggle to settle payments over the next four months.
Research focused on annual accounts over the past four years, which Plimsoll says proved effective at determining companies financial stability.
Plimsoll says the research predicted that high at risk firms were in danger of failure or closing down within two years time.
On an optimistic note, the research also showed that 387 firms were financially stable and benefited from a buoyant turnover. *
