Tie removal lifts hopes

REMOVAL of an agricultural occupancy condition could help the sale of more than 100 acres in Devon which had failed to sell since marketing in March.

The farm, Ford Farm, Chulmleigh, was offered for sale subject to the restriction and despite 360 inquiries remained unsold. However, an application to remove the tie was successful.

The livestock unit now is for sale, with 65 acres going to auction and the remaining acreage, the house and farm buildings for sale by private treaty through agent Colvilles. Guide price £275,000.
