‘Tommy Archer’ cleared in GM trial
ORGANIC farmers son Tommy Archer was cleared by a court of destroying a genetically modified crop on his uncles nearby farm, in the long-running BBC radio soap The Archers.
He was found not guilty on the basis of “lawful excuse”.
Tommy pleaded that the GM crop could have adversely affected his familys organic acres at Bridge Farm, Ambridge in Borsetshire.
