TV ignores countryside, says Fat Lady

CELEBRITY cook Clarissa Dickson Wright says the countryside receives poor treatment on television.

Ms Dickson Wright, the surviving half of the Two Fat Ladies, says there has been nothing on the TV about the countryside for 30 years

She hopes to redress this with her new TV series Clarissa and the Countryman, made with friend and hill-farmer Sir John Scott.

It promises to celebrate rural life in a picaresque tour of the British Isles, says The Guardian.
