UK feed assurance
A FEED assurance scheme intended to restore confidence in the animal feed industry has been officially launched by the UK Agricultural Supply Trade Association.
The scheme provides set standards for production, handling and storage of compound feed. It will also help to meet increasing concerns over genetically modified ingredients through better traceability, safe handling and storage of feed materials, says director general, Jim Reed. *
